MOS 1371 - - Combat Engineer is the MOS to have…
Combat engineers construct, alter, repair, and maintain buildings and structures; lift and move heavy objects and equipment by setting up, bracing, and utilizing rigging devices and equipment; and perform various duties incidental to the use of demolitions in construction projects and destruction of objects. Personnel assigned this MOS are taught carpentry and other construction skills as well as demolitions, specialized demolitions for urban breaching and land mine warfare.

You will go to the Basic Combat Engineer Course, Marine Corps Engineer School, on Camp Lejeune, NC.

I worked around them, the Seabees, and our Army engineers and watch them build miracles in Iraq.

Yes the Marines have engineers that do that. They build anything a command requests. They built some furniture for the high ups and built us a SWA (southwest asia) hut to live in at our FOB, not to mention they filled our hescos. They also would go on weapon cache and ied sweeps with us to use their metal detectors.
