They would have better chance in landing a job than other undergrads. They also get paid more. As far as what would they do, it depends on the engineering field. First 3 months on the job, they put me through management, computer and ethics training.
Only civil engineers will be designing (not building) bridges.
This is an open ended question. Yes some will “build bridges.” Others will work in sales. Some will form their own companies and be managers. Some will succeed in their field of engineering; others will fail and end up in menial jobs. There is no simple or complete answer to your question. But in general, as with all things, engineers will reap what they sow.
Engineering will finish them.
You mean, those who obtain an engineering degree? “Engineering” includes a lot more than just bridge building. You can get a degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, or one of a few other varieties. Some of them, namely civil engineers, will be designing buildings and bridges and other structures. But not even all civil engineers do this. I even know some who have gotten degrees in a special engineering field, but go on to do something else, like management for engineering-related companies.
Depends.. so many engineering jobs are outsourced..
