I have to build a Bolsa Wood Bridge in my engineering class. It must hold as much as possible. (Hopefully it would hold around 60 pounds) Does anyone know how to build a very strong bridge or any good websites that builds strong bridges?
Sorry but I forgot to say that you cannot laminate anything at all. Also, no excessive amounts of glue

    I would base the structure on round tubes, commonly used in some types of model airplane construction. Three or four laminations of 1/16″ balsa should give you good strength.

    Steam it to make it flexible and use something like Elmer’s glue to laminate it. Wrap it tightly and let it dry thoroughly.
